Moor View Cottage

New to the Chatsworth Collection

We are delighted to add Moor View Cottage to our collection. The cottage is available from February 2020 and we are now taking bookings. For bookings before this date we are currently operating a waitlist, please contact us to express your interest!

Built in 1912, Moor View is a grade II listed property, inspired by the Arts and Crafts era and designed by architect Romaine Walker. Until recently, it was the home of the Lady Elizabeth, the Duke of Devonshire’s beloved aunt. The building is situated at the top of the quaint village of Edensor, with picturesque views from the front and rear. Stone steps welcome you to the impressive front entrance, whilst around the back of the property you’ll find a vast garden enclosed with a pretty hedge; enjoying views of Edensor village, Chatsworth house and the iconic Hunting Tower beyond.

The cottage was refurbished by The Duchess of Devonshire alongside interior designer Rachel McLane in winter 2019, with a view to keeping the rich history whilst updating the décor and facilities.

Dogs are welcomed at a rate of £25 per dog per stay, please advise our reservations team when making your booking that you shall be bringing a dog with you.

Please note that images are for illustrative purposes only, more photographs will be added in due course.
